OMEGA Roadmap — Q2 2026
ICP
Senior financial engineers and quant developers using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor) on complex multi-repo trading/fintech systems. Teams of 2-10 with budget authority to expense $50-500/mo dev tooling. Local-first is a requirement, not a preference.
Vision
Every AI coding agent remembers what matters — decisions, preferences, context — so financial engineering teams never start from scratch.
Strategic Goals
- Become the memory layer for AI-assisted financial engineering teams — paying customers in finance, MRR (Now)
- Ship self-serve Pro tier with payment flow — MRR, free-to-paid conversion (Now)
- Build finance-specific proof points and content — case studies, benchmarks, inbound search (Next)
- Expand to adjacent high-value verticals — healthtech, infra/platform (Later)
- Build community flywheel around sovereign AI memory — stars, contributors, organic mentions (Later)
Now (Q2 2026)
| Initiative | Goal | RICE | Effort | GTM? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| compliance-positioning | G1 | 24.0 | 3-4d | Yes |
| demo-video (re-record) | G1 | 18.0 | 3-4d | Yes |
| payment-flow | G2 | 10.0 | 2-3w | Yes |
| finance-landing-page | G1 | 9.6 | 1w | Yes |
| usage-based-pricing (design) | G2 | 8.0 | 2-3d | No |
Execution Order
- Week 1 (parallel tracks):
- Track A: compliance-positioning + demo-video script/re-record
- Track B: usage-based-pricing design decision
- Week 2: finance-landing-page (consumes compliance + demo assets)
- Weeks 2-4: payment-flow (Stripe, license keys, feature gating, pricing page)
Critical Path
compliance-positioning ──┐
├──> finance-landing-page ──> outreach-batch-2 (Next)
demo-video (re-record) ──┘
usage-based-pricing ──> payment-flow
Next (Q3 2026)
| Initiative | Goal | RICE | Effort | Dependency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| finance-onboarding | G1 | 8.4 | 2w | finance-landing-page |
| outreach-batch-2 | G1 | 7.2 | 2w | batch 1 results |
| comparison-pages | G1+3 | 5.6 | 2w | compliance-positioning |
| finance-case-study | G3 | 3.0 | 3w | needs first paying customer |
| coordination-showcase | G3 | 2.7 | 3w | none |
Later (Q4 2026+)
- benchmark-page — publish LongMemEval + finance-specific retrieval accuracy
- linkedin-finance — weekly cadence once content assets exist
- public-sync-cleanup — open-source credibility signal
- multi-repo-memory — build when paying customers request it
- team-memory-sharing — build when team customers request it
Icebox
- Expand to healthtech/infra verticals — not until finance proven
- Enterprise sales motion — wrong stage
- Community programs (contributors, ambassadors) — after revenue proves model
Decisions & Trade-offs
- Finance-first, not everyone: Narrowing to finance means saying no to generic developer marketing. A page that says "for financial engineering teams" will convert 10x better than "for developers."
- Revenue before community: Community is the long game but paying customers fund everything. Pro tier + payment flow is Now, community programs are Later.
- Local-first as feature, not limitation: In finance, data sovereignty is a buying criterion. Position OMEGA's local-first architecture as a competitive advantage over cloud-dependent alternatives (Mem0, Zep).
- Build features when customers ask: Multi-repo memory and team sharing scored low on RICE despite being real features. Defer until paying customers validate demand.
- Outreach before content marketing: At <100 stars, inbound won't work. Direct outreach to finance teams is the fastest path to first customers. Content supports outreach, not the other way around.
